Maine Iris Society

About

The Maine Iris Society is made up with people of all ages who are interested in irises. Our interests range from those who just like to look at irises to those who hybridize and or raise them for show or competition. There are some who grow just a few to hi-light their garden to those who have as many as five or six hundred varieties. Our goal is to maintain up to date good quality irises in Maine and the surrounding areas. We do this by giving irises as door prizes at our meetings, by doing iris shows so the public can see what irises look like, both old and new, and by doing auctions so the public can have access to good irises at reasonable prices.
