CITY OF AUBURN NOTICE TO VOTERS ****** STATE PRIMARY & SPECIAL REFERENDUM ELECTION SCHOOL BUDGET VALIDATION REFERENDUM ELECTION TUESDAY, JULY 14, 2020 IMPORTANT CHANGE: WARDS 1, 2 AND 3 WILL VOTE AT NORWAY SAVINGS BANK ARENA LOCATED AT 985 TURNER STREET WARDS 4 AND 5 WILL VOTE AT AUBURN CITY HALL LOCATED AT 60 COURT STREET Polls open at 7:00 A.M. and close at 8:00 P.M. Both locations are accessible to voters with disabilities. Voters must vote in the correct polling place and are encouraged to call the City Clerk's office at 333-6601 ext. 1121 or 1344 or visit www.auburnmaine.gov if you are not sure of your voting place. To protect voters, poll workers, and the community from COVID-19, voters are strongly encouraged to wear face coverings. We will be implementing safety precautions such social distancing and required occupancy limits as recommended by the CDC and the Governor's Executive Order. Absentee ballots are currently available in the City Clerk's office from 8:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. We will offer extended hours on Thursday, July 9, 2020 and will be open from 8:30 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. for any resident wishing to register to vote, change voter information, or vote by absentee ballot. Beginning Wednesday, July 8, 2020, voter registrations will only be accepted from applicants who appear in person. Residents may register to vote at their polling place on Election Day; proof of identity and Auburn residency is required. The law also requires that when a voter's name or address changes, the voter must notify the Registrar of such change.
