Truck Driver/ Laborer Jay, Maine The Town of Jay is accepting applications for a Truck Driver/ Laborer in the Public Works Department, primarily assigned to Transfer Station. This is a full-time position with benefits. Qualified candidates must perform semi-skilled manual labor, lift heavy objects and work in a variety of weather conditions Overtime is required. Duties include working at Transfer Station; operation of light and heavy trucks and motorized equipment, road maintenance, snow/ice removal; patching roads; brush trimming mowing and other duties as needed. Previous experience preferred. Availability required during winter as weather dictates and 15-mile residency requirement. Sufficient educational background and physical ability to perform related duties is required. Class B/CDL license and a clean driving history is required. Class A/CDL preferred or commitment to gain Class A within probationary period. Ability to work with the general public is essential.
