1 8 6 5 THE UNIVERSITY OF MAIN PILOT PLANT OPERATOR The University of Maine Forest Bioproducts Research Institute is hiring part-time, temporary staff to assist in the operation of a continuous chemical pilot plant. The work requires 12 hour shifts for either day or night operations of the plant. A strong mechanical aptitude is preferred, and the ability to work as a team to ensure continuous operations of a chemical plant is required. Prior experience working in a chemical or manufacturing process is preferred. A two week paid training is provided, and 24 hour-per-day campaigns will be scheduled from Sunday evening to Friday mid-day. Campaigns will begin in October and run through December intermittently. Positions being filled are: Boiler Operators with minimum 4th class License, Senior Plant Operators, Plant Operators, Control Operators and Lab Analysts.
